Why do you need a VPN Router? Isn’t a regular VPN sufficient? This video explains how those around you can affect your cybersecurity.

Here’s a configurable and pre-made SD card with all the programs to turn your Raspberry PI 3 into a Wifi VPN Router, a Wifi TOR router or a regular Wifi router — BraxWifi.

This solution will simplify use of a VPN in your house. Guests and other family members are automatically protected on all devices simply by logging into the Wifi. No software has to be installed on each device. Guests don’t inadvertently release combinations of your IP address and locations.

The software is on a 16GB SD card pre-programmed for a Rasberry Pi 3 B+ (B version available as well) for $99. Can be used as a free TOR Router or standard router. Or can be used in conjunction with a VPN subscription (default is https://BytzVPN.com).

If you are not in the US, I advise that you get your own Raspberry PI 3B+. If you are in the USA, I can ship you the Raspberry PI preconfigured. Priority mail. I don’t recommend the Raspberry PI 4 for this use. It adds cost (roughly $15 more) but no added performance for this use.

  1. Just want to be clear here. You need a VPN ROUTER, and NOT a VPN in a Router. Most commercial routers include a VPN feature. You don't want that!!!! It just encrypts to the router and your public IP address is still visible.

  2. I use Express VPN software on my browser… I'm curious how would I use this? Plug into my modem, then plug into my home WiFi router? So this sits in the middle? I use Google WiFi mesh network. Or is your router a WiFi router? If so is it mesh?
