How to Block Someone on your YouTube Channel – Ban People

Hey how’s it going everybody this is your witty and lively YouTube expert, Derral Eves. Now have you ever got any really nasty comments on one of your YouTube videos or even a nasty message sent through YouTube or post posted on your channel? Well I just got this question from one of my subscribers, BaconStar101 he said “Derral there’s someone commenting on my vids and even swearing at me.

I was wondering if there’s a way to ban someone from looking at a specific channel.” Now, BaconStar101, I actually have my fair share of haters and to be honest with you some of them really need their mouth washed out with soap! Seriously! Now there’s even been a few users that I’ve blocked and banned from my channel from commenting or sending me private messages and in this video I’m going to actually show you four different ways to block someone on your YouTube channel forever.

Let’s take a look! Now there’s several ways to block users from your channel or to ban them. And the first way is to go to the channel itself, click on the about tab here, and you’re going to see this little icon, this little flag.

You can click that with the drop-down and you can hit Block User. That’s the first way. Now the next way is to actually go to your channel and select a video you might have a comment that you don’t like, let’s see, I have my good friend here, Tony Golan good friend of mine.

If I wanted to block him you come over here to this little icon that’s the Options Menu. Click on that and you can actually Ban from channel. I’m not going to do that because I like Tony quite a bit.

That’s another way. Now the other way is to go to the upper right-hand corner and click on your avatar icon and come down to creator studio. Once you’re there you can come over to community tab and there’s two different other locations that you can ban people.

The first is when someone is commenting on your video you can actually come over to the right-hand side, there’s another flag here and you can ban from channel. Or you can go into messages and once you’re in messages you can see that little icon with the flag and ban from channel.

So there’s several ways to do that I would just do it if someone is really just annoying you and it’s a troll, you can just block them out so they can’t even comment on your videos, they won’t be able to send you a private message, but they can create another account and do the same thing, but you can block them again.

See that was easy, right? Now rarely do I actually block any users at all, but on rare occasions when a user is actually attacking another person I really have no tolerance for that and I will ban them every time.
